AT&T VP Confirms iPhone 5 Launching in Early October

AT&T VP Confirms iPhone 5 Launching in Early October - We’ve heard everything from August to October as possible launch dates for Apple’s next smartphone, but more recently the reports seem to be agreeing on a timeframe. It’s looking more and more likely that the next iPhone will be available in early October…

Both TiPb and 9to5Mac have confirmed an October 7 availability for the highly anticipated device, and now BGR has corroborated the information with a source inside AT&T:

“One of our high-level AT&T sources just informed us that an AT&T Vice President has confirmed to several employees that the iPhone 5 is slated to launch in early October. Additionally, the VP communicated the following to a group of managers: “Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.”
Even The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple agrees. The ex-MacWorld editor, who’s known for being plugged-in to the industry, confirmed the early October date this morning with a simple “yep.” Dalyrmple was behind the debunking of the September 7th Apple event last week.
